Kyle Brown, LCSW SEP, THEY/THEM
Psychotherapist | EMDR Trained
Qualifications & Background
Welcome, I’m Kyle. My pronouns are they/them. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of It’s a Vibe Psychotherapy. I offer trauma-informed, identity-affirming care that centers the experiences of LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals, and allies. I believe healing happens not just in isolation, but in connection — with our bodies, our histories, our communities, and with ourselves. My work is rooted in the belief that therapy should be a space where you feel seen, supported, and safe to show up as your whole self — without the need to explain or defend your identity. I bring a warm, collaborative, and relational presence to our sessions, drawing from modalities like EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, CBT, and mindfulness practices. These tools help us work with the nervous system, unpack survival patterns, and restore access to joy, ease, and agency. I specialize in supporting clients navigating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, racial and systemic oppression, and relationship challenges. I work with individuals, couples, and polycules, offering care that affirms your autonomy and honors the many ways healing can look. As a queer, Black therapist, I know what it means to hold space for others while longing for spaces where we, too, can exhale. I’ve learned through both personal and professional experience how essential it is to be in environments where you don’t have to translate yourself to be understood. That’s the kind of space I aim to create — with softness, humor, honesty, and deep respect. Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or returning after a break, you are welcome here. Let’s work together to find what healing looks like for you.
